EVPs (aka Electronic Voice Phenomena)
We have recently become interested in the technique of recording "ghost sounds", commonly known as EVPs or Electronic Voice Phenomena, so Gennie has decided to try and pick up the spirits of this house with a newly purchased digital recorder and external microphone. White noise was not used. Below, in her own words, she states the date, time, location, as well as other information surrounding the potential EVP was taken. Ghost sounds recorded or just merely static interpreted as voices? This is for you to decide, and we welcome any comments or opinions. Please click the pink text to download and listen.
October 24, 2004 @ approx. 3:34 AM - Genesta's bedroom
After setting up the recorder in Genesta's now sparcely used bedroom, I had asked a few questions to whomever would be willing to respond. After that, I had stated I would be setting the recorder down and leaving it for a while, and if anything wanted to communicate, please do so via the recorder.
dontgo.wav After the recorder was left alone in the bedroom for a few minutes, this possible EVP was picked up. My interpretation: a breathy whisper, male voice, saying, "Don't go".
420dontgo.wav GHSP Community and GhostChatter.com chat room member 420Eclectic helped assist in cleaning up the above recording. He feels that the recording says "I don't know".
MIKLO420dontgo.wav SciFi BBoard member MIKLO sent me an enhancement of 420Eclectic's file.

October 24, 2004 @ approx. 8:30 AM - Gennie's old bedroom
After setting up the recorder in my old bedroom, I had stated (like above), that I would be setting the recorder down and leaving it for a while, and if anything wanted to communicate, please do so via the recorder.
youallcanhearme.wav No sooner than 12 seconds after I had left the room, the recorder picked up what heard like a soft bark and then this voice. My interpretation: female voice, saying in a matter-of-fact tone, "You all can hear me!"
HAULLIEyouallcanhearme.mp3 GhostChatter.com chat room member Haullie sent me her cleaned up version of the above EVP.
TRPPARAyouallcanhearme.wav - January 11, 2005 - GHSP Community and GhostChatter.com chat room member TRPParanormal sent me this cleaned up version of the above recording.
bark.wav The preceding bark which initially caught my attention. My mother and I believe this to be my grandmother's dog, whom used to live in the house and was poisoned by the neighbors.
youallcanhearmeextended.wav The entire clip which contains both the bark, a pause, and then the female sounding voice.
MIKLOyouallcanhearmeextended.wav SciFi BBoard member MIKLO sent me his cleaned up version of the above EVP.
richardkmatthews.wav About 10 minutes into the recording, I noticed another sound while listening via headphones. I managed to enhance it as best I can, and must say this one is odd. To me, while wearing headphones, it sounded as if a male voice was saying "Richard K. Matthews". When you listen to it through regular computer speakers, however, it sounds as if the voice is saying "Where's your cane at?". If the latter is true, I imagine it would have been addressing my mother rather than myself, as she sometimes uses a cane to get around.
richardkmatthews-2.wav A further (attempted) enhancement, by myself, of the above recording.
TRPPARArichardkmatthews.wav - January 11, 2005 - GHSP Community and GhostChatter.com chat room member TRPParanormal sent me this cleaned up version of the above recording. He believes it says "Is it Matthew?".
