I was sitting in the ghost chat room sharing experiences of supernatural things that had happened to others in the room. My son was working, so I was home alone. Around 7 PM or so, I began to hear noises of someone walking up the steps going to my son's bedroom. I immediately "whispered" someone in the room that I'm hearing footsteps. The roomies suggested that I turn on even more lights to help calm my fears. I turned on another bright light and continued to talk in the chat room. The sounds continued going up the steps, then stopped. I tried to keep my mind on the conversations going on, and then it started up again. I heard again sounds of footsteps going up the steps. I'm trying to ignore it and carry on discussions with others in the room. About 20 min. or so later, it sounded as if now the footsteps were going down the steps. A few minutes later, there was another pattern of noises that sounded like someone was walking down.
A few minutes after that, I heard the usual popping sounds of noises. I continued talking in the room and wished I could plug my ears with my fingers rather than have them on the keyboard. I still haven't figured out what is going on but there hasn't been anything wild or violent going on lately. Maybe it will just go away!
