I have had many, MANY different experiences in this house. I don't think I can even begin to explain them all, but I will try. When I was around 12, I would be laying in bed and it would start to shake.
I would also see what would best be described as a "smear" of light in the hallway of the second floor. These instances scared me so bad that I would not sleep in my room for another six years.
When I did finally return to sleeping in my room, I was 18. I would stay up all night and sleep during the day. Therefore I had these big, thick, dark green blankets I kept over my windows that kept the sunlight out of my room.
Sometimes at night I would see this little ball of light dance around the walls of the room. I nicknamed it "Tinkerbell" and thought it was rather cute myself. As long as I wasn't experiencing any bed shaking, I didn't mind.
Sometimes I would get up the courage to tell my friends over the phone or the computer about my experiences, but almost every time I did that something strange would happen to both them and I. One time I was talking to my friend on the phone, telling her how my bed used to shake and that I thought the house was haunted.
Well while in the process of telling her these things, she told me she had to click over, as she had another phone call. When she did that my bed started to shake a little, so I got up and ran downstairs, locking myself in the bathroom. When she clicked back over she told me that she was weirded out, there wasn't anyone on the other line, but there was some strange sort of melody playing.
Another time, I was talking to my friends in a chatroom and I started telling them about the weird things that happen in the house. Well as soon as I started doing that, the computer TURNED OFF. Okay, I thought. Turned it back on, it booted back up, and I reconnected to chat. When I got back online, I found out that the three friends I were talking to online also had weird experiences at the time with their computers.
I remember laying in my mother's bed one night getting ready to fall asleep when I hear a CRASH coming from the kitchen. Apparently the garbage can that was sitting in its usual spot was picked up and flung against the wall, terrifying the dog. That was a weird experience, in and of itself. Sometimes I would get out of the bathtub or wake up from a nap and be the only one in the house, yet hear this eerie music playing. I don't know how to describe it except something similar to a melody from a music box.
Once, around Thanksgiving, I thought I would stay up and watch television until morning came. Unfortunately that didn't happen. Around 4am, I start to hear stirrings in my room, which is above the living room. It wasn't a big deal until I started hearing footsteps coming down from there. Mind you, no one else was up there at the time, it was soley my room on the second floor. So I freak out, jumped over the baby gate that kept the dog from entering the living room, and slept in my mother's bed the rest of the night. I didn't learn my lesson, however, because the night after I stayed up and the same thing happened again!
**February 6** I just returned from visiting my mother for the past couple of days, and after I left her house I noticed my right arm, in the crook, had strange scratches. There was no way I could have gotten them without noticing it, especially since I had a heavy sweatshirt on at the time. They were rather prominent last night in the car, when I first noticed them, but tonight they are barely there. Perhaps her ghost didn't want me to leave?
