I was over this house one night, spending time with my boyfriend's family, when his sister-in-law, whom we will call Sharon, pulled me aside and asked me to take a look at one of the bedrooms they never used. The reason she did this is because she knows I have had odd experiences in the past, and wanted to know if I "felt" anything in that particular room. She told me they never used it and always kept the door shut because it creeped her out. So I sorta rolled my eyes, thinking it was no big deal. We walk up the steps, get to the door and she stops. So I walk past her and open the door to the room a crack. Cold air rushes out at me. Big deal, I think. They don't turn the heat on in that room and it IS winter. I open the door wider and noticed it sure was dark in there, but then again, why waste money leaving lights on in a room you don't use? I poked my head into the room and that's when I heard it. It came from the right-hand corner of the room, a loud growl that didn't sound like anything on this earth. So, being the brave person that I am, I turned and sprinted down the steps, screaming "Close the door!" and leaving Sharon to wonder what I was running from. So she comes back down the steps and we sit down to have a discussion on what I felt and heard. I asked her if she heard anything, she said no. They have since moved out and the house is now rented to someone new, but I've been back to the house during the day in-between tenants to help paint and make repairs. I didn't feel a thing. However, when it was night time, I made sure to run past that room while on the second floor. I guess whatever is/was in that room just didn't want to be disturbed at that particular moment.

The house is pictured from the back. It actually is situated right behind this one. The second story windows you see are the ones that are from the room in question. The unit is also a rental property, and is part of a multi-dwelling complex. The boyfriend's mother owns it, and for a while let her son and his wife live there. Currently it is rented out, otherwise I would go and take pictures inside. Once the weather gets better I will post a clearer shot. As far as the age, I'd say around the same time frame as this one, 1920s. I have no idea how many people, if any, died in that house. As I said, it is a rental property, so many families have rented it out over the years, and possibly some died in there.
