In January of 2002, while taking pictures with my new digital camera I had just received for Christmas, I decided to take a picture of myself in an old mirror. Nothing seemed odd at the time, yet when I uploaded the pictures onto my computer, I noticed something shocking. When I viewed the image, I noticed I was not alone. A distinct shadow had appeared in front of me while the picture was taken. Thinking it was a fluke, I tried to replicate the image, to no avail. While the mirror was dirty at the time, there was nothing on it that even vaguely resembled the "shadow man". Since that time, I feel that whatever this spirit is seems to be attached to the mirror itself, and due to several requests, I have decided to go in detail about the mirror and its history, as far as I know. The mirror wasn't initially ours to begin with, we've had it about a year. Originally, we were storing it for my boyfriend's brother and his ex? wife, however, they never came to claim their junk, and after a year of it being here, the stuff they had left attracted roaches. We had a HUGE infestation of those nasty things and had to get rid of ALL their junk. We were going to get rid of the mirror at the time as well, but the mirror is 5 ft by 4 ft, and we would have had to smash it up in order to fit it in the truck, so we've just let it sit in the unoccupied part of the duplex. I don't know too much about it, because as I said, it wasn't originally ours, but I do know that they had it for more than a couple of years.

During that time they lived in a house which caught on fire twice, from what the boyfriend had told me, and the second time the house caught fire the house was completely destroyed. The above articles are from the two fires. They stayed here for a while, and then moved into the house behind us, which is a rental unit. They lived there for about 3 years or so total, and when they moved in, set the mirror up in their house.

This may or may not be related, but i was over their house about 2 years ago, and the wife had asked me to check out a certain room which gave her the creeps. this room did NOT contain the mirror. Anyway, she asks me if I'd inspect the room, because she knew i have had more than a few odd things happen to me. To cut to the chase, i go up to the room and poke my head in. I feel cold air....big deal, I think. It's winter time and they're not going to heat the room. I also noticed that it was awfully dark...yeah, but then again, why waste electricty in a room you don't use? So I enter the room a little more, and i hear this growl from the right hand side. It was not a growl that would come from an animal, more like a human that was very upset, and possibily trying to imitate one. So of course, being the brave person that i am, sprinted down the steps leaving her to close the door Of course, she didn't hear the growl, but i was freaked out by it. I figured that whomever was in the room didn't want to be bothered by anyone living, and didn't seem to mean any harm. They ended up moving out of that house. I have no idea if the people that are currently renting it are having any problems with ghosts or such, honestly, I don't think so because they are still there. I'm not going to ask them, that's all i need is to scare some poor, catholic hispanic family, with my luck they'd think I'M the devil. While getting the house ready to rent out again, I was back in that room and didn't feel a thing. I thought that was odd, but then agian, it was during the daytime, there is no way I'm going there at night.

When the brother and his wife moved out of that house, the mirror was carried over here, and has sat on the other side of the duplex ever since. I'm not sure if the mirror is actually haunted or what, I can only provide what information I can and let everyone draw their own conclusions. What is odd is that when I initially decided to attempt to sell the mirror, I went over to the side of the duplex that the mirror is on, and tried to take pictures of it. The camera jammed!! There's a date on the back, Oct. 25, 1979, so I'm assuming it was made around that time. In the near future I would like to situate a ghost cam on the mirror, and maybe we will see the "shadow man" again.
